Introduction
This activation is about applying a 16 digit product code in the form XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX within Sygic application, typically performed by an end user.
When started Sygic application automatically triggers activation dialog when there is no license valid, or a trial period license expired.
Alternatively you may trigger Sygic navigation with the custom url call to supply the activation code to simultaneously start and activate Sygic navigation.
This type of activation is suitable with cases where the id's of your set of devices are unknown, and when you do not want to distribute licenses on login (emails).
Please note that this type of activation requires internet access for a short moment during activation operation.
This type of activation is available for the following versions of Sygic navigation:
- Sygic Professional Navigation
- Sygic Truck
- Sygic Taxi
For activating multiple devices you need to distribute product codes to individual end users (e.g. by email). They need to perform the activation process on their devices by themselves, either manually or semi automatically by triggering a custom url call.
Before activation first you need to redeem product code(s) from Sygic Business License System portal (https://bls.sygic.com), using Dispatch licenses action. Alternatively you may receive a testing product code from your sales representative.
1. Manual activation
Activation is performed by entering the code at the navigation menu Menu -> Sygic Store -> Activate Product code.
With each product code you can activate just one license, i.e. one unique device. The license is bound to a device id. Right after the activation the process of map download follows unless maps are pre-installed.
2. Activation through URL call
With each product code you need to create URL link with in the following form:
com.sygic.aura://activate productCode

With each URL link execution you can activate just one license, i.e. one unique device. The license is bound to the device id. With the link execution, Sygic application is automatically started and activated, and it continues with map download dialog unless maps are preinstalled.
For mass activation you may generate corresponding number of unique URL links, and in a simplest form, you can distribute it to your end customers by email or sms.
The end users then perform the activation by simply clicking on the link in the message.

To activate Premium or Premium + Traffic for GPS Navigation & Offline Maps Sygic using your product code, follow the steps below:
- Connect the device to the Internet. A stable Wi-Fi connection is recommended
- Start the Sygic GPS Navigation app
- Go to Menu → Sygic Store → Activate license → Activate product code, and enter your code
- When finished typing the product code select 'OK'
- Your Premium or Premium + Traffic features are now activated
Please note that you can verify the activation status of your Premium or Premium+Traffic licenses anytime via Sygic's Menu → Sygic Store → All your licenses.
If you purchased a product using your Google Play account, then there is no code and the procedure above won't work. Purchasing a Premium or Premium+Traffic license using the Google Play option binds that product to your Google account. Instead of activating a code, you need to do the following:
- Make sure you are signed in in the Google Play Store app with the Google account that you used to purchase the product.
- Start Sygic and go to Menu → Sygic Store → Activate license
- Select the Restore Google Play option
- Your Sygic is now acitvated.
Add-on services (Real View Navigation, Head Up Display, Dashcam, Cockpit, and the Traffic service) are activated by signing in with your Sygic account - you will not receive a product code when purchasing these features. Instead, please use the email you entered when you were purchasing these features to complete the registration of your Sygic account. Then, to activate these products, you need to go to Menu → Sign In inside the app, enter your account email, password and then sign in. Here's a quick guide with pictures:

That error message means you entered one or more characters of the code wrong. Please check your input and try again - the most common mistakes are a the use of a number instead of a letter (like the letter 'I' instead of the number '1' or vice versa).
The message means you are activating your code in a different app than the code is supposed to be activated. Please check the email you got after the purchase, there is a link to the app the code is meant to work in.
